AI in TIC Playbook · AI skills

Which TIC sales AI skills can you buy one at a time?

Two, at US$19 each: W2 regulatory triggers from Volume 1 and K4 customer strategy reader from Volume 2. Every other workflow comes with its report: a licence includes all twelve of that volume's workflows as skills, at no extra cost.

A skill is a file you add to an AI assistant, so a workflow runs without pasting a prompt into the chat. Buy one when you own one step of the sales process and do not need the whole report. Not sure which to start with? Which AI report or skill should a TIC sales team start with?

Two workflows, sold as skill files.

Both read public material, so you can try one without taking a customer's file out of your own systems.

Volume 1 · Stage 1 · Find

W2 Regulatory triggers

A regulatory change classified as structured data, and a short outreach email.

You attach: the regulatory announcement.

It does not: find companies for you. It classifies the change and drafts one email.

Volume 2 · Decide and price

K4 Customer strategy reader

Dated, sourced signals of what a customer is doing, ranked by what each one cost them.

You attach: the customer's public sources.

It does not: say what to do about the signals. It reads only the sources you give it.

Each is one workflow and its prompts, copied word for word from the report it belongs to. Everything a skill writes is a draft for a person to check, and none of them sends anything.

Video · 3 minutes 42 seconds

What is an AI skill, and how do you govern one?

A file of written instructions an assistant loads before a job, so the job is done the same way each time. The full text is on the page behind this video.

The narration is a synthetic voice made with NotebookLM. The illustrations were made with AI. Deep Dive Reports directed and checked it, and is answerable for what it says. Published 24 September 2026.

Before you buy

Check your assistant first

A skill is one standard file (SKILL.md, the open Agent Skills format). Each AI assistant decides which plans can load it, and changes this often. Check its own help page first.

Claude · ChatGPT · Microsoft 365 Copilot · Gemini

Your organisation's settings can also block skills. If your plan cannot load the file, open it and paste its text into a chat. We did this in ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot Chat on 20 September 2026. Inside the file is SKILL.md, which is plain text: if it opens in an unexpected program, right-click it and choose Open with, then Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on a Mac.

What we tested, and what happened

Uploaded as a skill file and run in Claude on 18 September 2026. Pasted as text and run on 20 September 2026 in ChatGPT and Gemini, each on a free account, and in Microsoft Copilot Chat (Basic) in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, signed in with a work or school account. We have not tested uploading a skill file to Microsoft 365 Copilot. We do not claim what we have not tested.

Assistants differ, and we saw it. Asked for a detail we had not given, ChatGPT and Gemini stopped and asked for it; Microsoft Copilot drafted the email and left the missing details in brackets, marked "Draft for review only". Neither invented one. Wording varies between assistants, and between one run and the next.

What the other workflows do.

These come with their report. Each page shows what the workflow does, with the opening of a real run.

Volume 1 · The AI-Augmented TIC Sales Machine

  • W1 Account intelligence – An eight-section account briefing, and a flash brief before a meeting.
  • W3 Enquiry qualification – An enquiry in a fixed format with a fit score, and an acknowledgement reply.
  • W4 Rapid quotation – A proposed programme for engineer review, with no prices, and a quote cover note.
  • W5 Tender response – A bid or no-bid recommendation, answers from your own library with gaps marked, and a review of the assembled bid.
  • W7 Battlecards – A battlecard built from your evidence, and objection practice with a score.
  • W8 Renewal guardian – A renewal risk level with the three signals behind it, and a renewal-opening email.
  • W10 Win/loss – A structured debrief record, and a quarterly pattern report.
  • W11 CRM hygiene – CRM fields filled from an email or transcript, left blank where it says nothing.

Volume 2 · AI for Key Account Management

  • K1 Fit and permission – Two verdicts for each customer need: can we do it, and may we under our accreditation scope.
  • K2 Buying group – The customer's roles, and which of your people reaches each one.
  • K5 Revenue base – A banded revenue forecast for the next twelve months, showing what each band rests on.
  • K7 Credit and exposure – Days beyond terms month by month, and the exposure carried for the account and each related entity.
  • K12 Knowledge capture – Candidate entries for the account record, each sourced, dated and marked observed or inferred.

A workflow is sold on its own only when it runs on its own. The other nine workflows have no page here. Each needs another workflow's output before it can start, so a run of one on its own would show something no firm would ever do. Every workflow, page or no page, comes with its report as a ready-made skill file at no extra cost.
